chore: Remove/replace unused/unnecessary dependencies

Description

Removes a handful of unused/unnecessary dependencies. Also replaces one dependency with local code to work around a security notice.

Closes #7779.

Changes

• Removes the following dependencies
  • canvas-fit
  • color-alpha
  • color-parse
  • mouse-change
  • mouse-wheel
  • prepend-file (dev)
  • superscript-text
  • to-px
• Adds utility function to replace prepend-file and updates references to use that

Testing
