As - we can't agree on removing the loading screen conf option (darktable-org#21402) - there are issues on windows systems if loading screen is disabled (darktable-org#21128 darktable-org#21395 and more) let's enforce the loading screen on windows systems for now. Adds capability "nonwindows" so the preferences menu won't confuse windows users.

Yes, i would have closed it too :-) I personally think the greyed loading screen is the better/nicer way to switch between images and we could simplify code but ... In code there are comments about some "flicker", i have not been able to reproduce this and it might be due to old gtk so we might be able to remove the workaround anyway. |
