Summary
Adds an optional Impact field to the shared improvement request issue template.
The intent is to encourage request authors to describe the expected benefit of an improvement, such as reduced cost, lower latency, simpler code, fewer errors, improved reliability, or better customer experience.
Why
As part of the Cloud Platform Experience Squad’s broad analysis process, we identified that improvement requests often describe the proposed change but do not always capture the expected customer or user benefit.
Including an impact field should help provide better context for prioritisation, review, and decision-making.
