git2 0.21 changed several string accessors from `Option<&str>` to
`Result<&str, Error>` so callers can distinguish missing values from
invalid UTF-8. Updated `head.shorthand()`, `default_branch.as_str()`,
and the two `entry.name()` match arms in vcs.rs accordingly.

git2 0.21 also dropped `ssh`/`https`/`cred` from the default features.
The Rust API for `Cred::*` is not feature-gated, so cargo check stays
quiet, but libgit2-sys gets built without GIT_SSH and GIT_HTTPS — real
fetches would silently fail. Re-enabled them explicitly in Cargo.toml.

Added `tests/auth_smoke.rs` with `#[ignore]`d HTTPS+SSH clone tests
against a public github repo, so this class of regression is catchable
locally with `cargo test -p houndr-repo --test auth_smoke -- --ignored`.
