How it works

Connect specific projects to GitHub to start syncing both ways. One primary branch is synced. Configure the GitHub integration in a couple of minutes by authenticating and selecting which organization or personal account to connect. Once you do, Lovable installs a GitHub App on your account and you can start linking projects to repositories.

When you or the AI agent makes changes in Lovable — whether that's editing files in the editor or prompting the agent to build a feature — all changes are committed and pushed to your connected GitHub repository at the end of each change cycle. The commit includes everything: agent code changes and any manual edits you made in the UI. Commits are attributed to the Lovable bot with your user included as a co-author, so the full history of who prompted what is preserved in your git log.
