My problem (now solved) was that the Hunspell dictionary was missing after installing Notepad++ on a new Windows 11 computer, then using Plugins Admin to install DSpellCheck (version 1.5.0.0). But DSpellCheck did not work - misspelled test words were not flagged. Searches for next misspelled word did nothing. DSpellCheck Settings had the correct Hunspell Dictionary Path (C:\Users\aeolo\AppData\Roaming\Notepad++\plugins\Config\Hunspell, in my case) but I found there were no dictionaries. My current language was English (United States), and the languages menu offered "Download More Languages" (not "Download Language" which indicated to me that DSpellCheck thought a language was selected and (presumably) a dictionary was assumed present.
I tried "Reload Hunspell dictionaries". I tried uninstalling and reinstalling DSpellCheck. These did not help. I eventually solved my problem by copying dictionary files from another computer running Notepad++/DSpellCheck.
Though my problem is solved, this seems so significantly irregular that I thought I should report it.
