Head tracking

Wondering is the communication is bidirectional and if it possible to add headtracking through pixelpilot.
My phone is in a cheap VR-box and it could track my movement using the phones sensors.
I have an eachine sphere and it has a serial output to the flight controller (not sure if all openipc cameras have this).
Maybe it could use to send data back and control a gimbal somehow.

Theoretically it is possible, but a lot of work needs to be done on both the air side and ground side.

My initial thought was that pixelpilot would add head tracking (yaw/pitch/roll) and send positions as mavlink channels. I know the head tracking would be a bit hard to implement, also it would need at least some outside control to recenter the view (for to be able to use inside a VR headset)
I saw a gimbal (XF C-20T) that possibly can be controlled through the serial output of my camera with only one cable (and no flight controller) and the setup would be something similar to this: https://youtu.be/PCRBh-dvly8

I understand that this would be a niche application.

(also dreaming something similar with meta quest immersive implementation and the head tracking but that is faaar away)
