Thanks for your interest in this issue. There isn't much to do technically here, it's more about a reminder about discussion items and policies for the steering committee to consider and set up.

If you are interested in contributing as part of a GSoC application, I would recommend to get in contact with the sub-organization the given project belong too, as we, as OpenAstronomy is an umbrella organization and the actual coding projects are not in the github organization or repo.
